After leaving the Santa Ana Star casino we decided to stop at the Coronado State Monument since it was open. The last time we had stopped by was after closing hours. The museum and surrounding ruins were very interesting and educational. We could see the Rio Grande River and Sandia Peak in the background. Unfortunately, there were threatening rains and low clouds in the late afternoon, so we did not get a chance to ride the Sandia Tram to the peak of the mountain. We also visited The Stagecoach Stop RV Park in Rio Rancho, NM that was very close by. It is a Good Sam park and AAA recommended. Very large RV spaces with nice amenities. We will keep this park in mind when we visit the area in the future.
Travel log of our trip around USA. We became full time RVers on June 20, 2010 after sale of a home in mid-Michigan. We also sold most of our belongings by holding an auction. Our goal is to visit as much of the USA as possible and keep a record of our trip. We have converted most of our personal records to paperless. Currently former neighbors are forwarding mail.
