Special afghan made for Nelda Johnson's birthday

I made the above afghan for my step-mom, Nelda Johnson for her birthday.  I started it in May before we left Texas, but didn't finish it until shortly after her birthday in June.  Nelda loves flowers and working in her flower beds.  I thought she would really appreciate the theme.  The 32 flowers were all crocheted separately and sewn on individually.  It was a true labor of love, because I rarely make an afghan that is pieced together in any way.  The words around the outside edge are "You are closer to God's heart in a garden than any place else on earth."  The words around the inside say "Kind hearts are the garden, kind minds are the root, kind words are the blossom, kind deeds are the fruit."  You can read the words on each side of the afghan by clicking on a picture.  Dad said she really liked it when it was delivered by mail.  We haven't seen Dad and Nelda yet because we are still traveling.
